New Look & Feel!!

So I've been looking at a few other social networky-type websites and have taken inspiration from the colours etc that they use on their interfaces.

It's about ease-of-use and pace as well. And how much of the content can the user personalise?

I like the blue, maybe not quite the light blue? I'll try a few other colours and patterns as well.

This would be the explore function of the website where you can view, browse and create events and view maybe reviews of places and things in the place.

It was an idea that someone gave me when they said that something that makes you feel out of place is when you aren't in the loop with the most recent changes in the area? Not sure how that would work though and how you would regulate it?
